This project aims to generate a level design curriculum which is tightly integrated with Unity, and which includes significant “template” assets and exemplars for users to modify and build upon. Suitable for delivery via an online training course.

 

As Level Designer, my role was to create a complete, high quality 3D platformer level, and to carefully document the process of creation and building. This level (and two others) are designed to be examples to teach both design and process. My design included top down view maps, event locations, 3D modeling (Using probuilder), Character metrics, a video walkthrough, and detailed written documentation.

 

Tutorial Videos

The target audience for the videos was high school students using the Unity Level Design toolkit or anyone without experience in level design. The idia in the tutorial was to share the thought process of the level that I built for the Level Design Toolkit.

This is the final version of the level. The illustrator worked over the 3d view adjusted in an isometric point of view. The tiles are prefectly blended and the story telling works perfectly.
